- אִפְיוֹטוֹתm. pl. (פוט) prop. able to talk (sensibly), hence children of about six or seven years. Y.Gitt.V, 47b bot. א׳ פרייא ifyototh (Mish. ib. 8 referred to reads פְּעוּטוֹת q. v.) means little ones (v. פרא). Y.Maas. Sh. IV, 55a פתר לה … א׳וכ׳ expounds the subject by analogy with the law concerning minors, for we read in the Mishnah , v. supra.
